AssoSoftware, founded in 1994, is the Italian Association, chaired by Pierfrancesco Angeleri, which brings together, represents, and protects the interests of over 90% of the Information Technology companies that create application-management software for businesses, intermediaries, and the Public Administration. The sector, which plays a fundamental role in the country's economy, is worth 19.9 billion euros and employs approximately 133,000 people. AssoSoftware is present throughout the national territory with over 230 associated companies and with a network of thousands of distribution companies. The associated software houses constitute the technical reference point for all intermediaries, from accountants to labor consultants, from trade associations to companies of all kinds, including the Public Administration. AssoSoftware is a direct member of Confindustria, the main Italian association representing manufacturing and service companies in Italy, with a voluntary membership of more than 150,000 companies of all sizes, employing a total of 5,382,382 people
